Getting help for depression
Working with depression
Depression can affect many people at different times of their lives. People can find it is a state of mind that they experience often throughout their lives and for others they may only experience it once or twice in their lifetime. I find people experience a lot of negative self talk that often takes them deeper into that cycle of depression. Many people end up coming to me as a last resort because they do not know what to do next.
How I view depression
I personally see depression as your body's natural way of forcing you to slow down, this can create an opportunity to explore and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and how you are dealing with stress, grief, unresolved anger or even denial of a situation that you find yourself in. This can be challenging if you don't know how to deal with the emotions that come up as a result of these situations. Often this is where people get stuck, they focus on what they don't want and find it hard without assistance to create a mind shift, so they can make the changes that they need to make. As a therapist I do my very best to guide people through this process so they can achieve emotional balance that they are searching for. I have worked with people from all walks of life; experiencing depression can often mean that it takes everything you have to finally ask for help. If this is you, I invite you to be brave, please make contact with me and get some help today. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
The approach that I take
Hypnotherapy and NLP are only some of the tools that I use, to help people to start to feel better. Everyone is different, and that means the approach that I take a client centered approach, I believe that everyone knows deep down what is needed within them to find balance. So I work to find the best approach for them. It is my job to guide them through that process of inner awareness. You are like a walking pharmacy and within you have an amazing ability to bring balance and well being to your mind and your body. When we focus on what we want we get more of what we want.
If you or someone you know needs help with that journey through depression, I invite you to contact me. If you would like to make a booking please email me or give me a call, if you call during the day, you will need to leave a message on the phone, as I am usually in session with clients.
I have been working as a hypnotherapist for over 25 years. Over this time I have seen many of my clients benefit with how they think about what they want to achieve and begin on their journey that transforms their lives. Whether it is to stop smoking, lose weight, get over a phobia or just feel more confident, hypnotherapy is a fantastic tool.
